Chapter 28: Say...What?

 *Amy’s P.O.V.*

Liam and I ran all the way back to my house hand in hand through the rain. When we came in everyone’s attention turned to us.

“Why are you soaking wet?” Niall asked.

“Where were you guys?” Harry asked after.

“Furthermore, why are you two holding hands?” Louis questioned pointing to our intertwined fingers.

“Well, we’re sort of…” I trailed off as I looked over at Liam, trying to think of the words to say.

“Just say what you need to say,” Zayn sang. I licked my lips then looked over at Aven; she can always tell what I am wanting to say from a simple look.

“Wait!” she exclaimed, raising her hands up to make everyone stop what they are doing. She took a few steps closer to me then a ginormous cheesy smile spread across her face.

“I am going to defecate all over this floor!” she yelled hopping over to us and squishing us in a bear hug.

“Who’s producing fecal matter?” Louis said as he came back into the room from going into the kitchen.

“Me!” Aven screamed as she began to jump around the whole house.

“What is going on?” Zayn yelled.

“We are in a relationship!” Liam exclaimed, holding up our hands.

“Who’s in a relationship?” I heard the booming voice of my father ask from behind us. I let go of Liam’s hand and turned around slowly to look at him.

“Nobody,” I replied slowly.

“Obviously someone is if it is worth screaming it to the world,” he replied while taking off his rain jacket.

“Well, Louis and Aven have a fake thing going on…there celebrity couple name is Loven,” I told him.

“We do not!” they yelled at the same time again, they seem to do that a lot.

“Amelia Blake, do not lie to me,” he stated firmly. I looked down at my feet then up at my dad. I hated it when he looked at me like that; with his military eyes is what I liked to call it.

“I’m dating Liam,” I mumbled.

“Huphla dauhlafa,” he replied. He always does that when I mumbled while speaking to him.

“I’m dating Liam,” I repeated a little louder.

“I still can’t hear you young lady,” he said.

“I’m dating Liam,” I shouted then covered my mouth with my hands. My dad’s eyes widened and then he looked over at Liam who was standing there awkwardly the whole time, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet.

“Be good to her boy, I still know where my shotgun is,” he said coolly.

“Yes sir,” he managed to say, even though it sounded like he coughed it. My dad then turned on his heel and went into the kitchen. Liam and I just stood in the living room awkwardly with everyone for a couple minutes.

“My daughter has a boyfriend!?” I heard my mother scream. I slapped my hand to my forehead and let out a loud sigh.

“This is going to be interesting,” I said to everyone just before my mom scurried into the room and pulled Liam and me into a bone crushing hug.

“Mom; can’t breathe,” I said then she let the two of us go.

“You guys are going to have a beautiful wedding, get married, then have a bunch adorable grandchildren for me to spoil rotten!” she said excited as she clapped her hands together.

“Uh…” Liam mumbled. He was just staring at my mom with a really confused expression on his face as she rambled on about our children.

“Mom, I think you should go finish dinner,” I told her as I placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Ok,” she sighed in a disappointed manner before she walked away.

“You guys are gonna be everywhere with your cuteness,” Zayn commented.

“You’re just jealous,” Liam said smugly as he wrapped his arm around my waist.

“Am not…yeah…I am,” he stated sadly as he walked away.

“Liam, you better treat her like the princess she deserves to be treated like, or I’ll join Rich with a spoon,” Harry warned him before he walked off. Liam looked slightly worried, why would he be? Yes my father is rather intimmedating with his military background but he is like a giant teddy bear once you get to know him. I also know, and trust, Liam enough to treat me right. I don’t think I have to worry about heart break with this one.

“Amy, get ya some!” I heard Sam call from the kitchen. My mouth fell agape and I turned my head to the kitchen to see my little brother smirking in triumph.

“Samuel! There are little children in the room!” my father scolded him. I stuck my tongue out in victory as he walked away in shame.

“Stink, lads, we better get going,” Harry told everyone while he was looking at his phone.

“Amy, you need to take a shower. You smell like a wet dog,” my mom informed me from the kitchen. I rolled my eyes as Liam and I passed all the boys heading for the door to get to the stairs.

“Aren’t you going?” I asked as we stopped in front of the stairs.

“I wanted to say good bye first,” he smiled at me as he wrapped his arms around my waist. He started leaning in and I closed my eyes, preparing for the kiss. Then I felt his still rather wet lips on mine, a bit like kissing in the rain…just less romantic.

“No kissing while I’m here!” my dad yelled at us then we sprang apart. Liam swooped in, sneakily giving me one last kiss before he headed for the door.

“Bye,” he called to me from the door way.

“Bye,” I waved, smiling like an idiot. He then went out the door, closing it behind him.

I sighed dreamily then turned on my heel, heading up the stairs. I can’t believe I am now dating Liam Payne. And the cool thing is, I’m not dating him because he is Liam Payne from One Direction I am dating him for…him.

"Shot me out of the sky. You're my kryptonite."
