The next morning, Transfiguration was our first class. When I sat down in my desk, I noticed how Harry and Ron weren't here. Where are they? Just then they came in sprinting.

"Thank Merlin Mcgonagall isn't here. Could you imagine the look on her face?" Ron asked Harry. Then, Mcgonagall changed from a cat to her regular self and stared at Ron and Harry.

"That was bloody brilliant!" Said Ron.

They explained to her that they had gotten lost, after that Harry sat next to me. He took his books out and began to work, but I could tell he was distracted.

"Hello" He said.

"Hi Harry, you seem a little distracted. Is there something I could do to help?" I asked.

"No, I'm just tired." He answered. I nodded and continued with my work.

Next we had potions, I was the last one in and the only seat left was with a couple Slytherin boys. I had no choice but to sit there. The boy I sat next to was blonde, with light grey-blue eyes. Sitting at the other side of him were two big and tall boys.

"You must be Lucrezia Dumbledore." Said the blonde boy.

"You know me?" I asked.

"Just your name. Everyone at Hogwarts knows your name" He said.

"I suppose. Well, what is your name?" I asked.

"Draco Malfoy. You know I have never seen anyone with eyes like yours. One blue and one red, that's extraordinary." He said.

"Thank you. Um, who are your friends?" I asked.

"Oh, this is Crabbe and Goyle." He said and they both waved hello. I smiled at them and they tensed up in nervousness.

"Your in Gryffindor right?" Asked Draco.

"Yes, and your in Slytherin." I said.

He was about to say something when Severus walked in, well I guess I have to call him Professor Snape in public.

"There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations during class. I don't expect many of you to master the art that is potion-making however, those who posses the predisposition I expect to exceed expectations regularly." Professor Snape explained looking at both me and Draco.

"Today, you will be brewing a simple cure for boils. Instructions are found on page 5 of your books" Snape said.

We all made our way to our stations and started brewing. We only started about two minutes ago and people were already struggling. I myself was having no trouble at all. In fact I was already almost done. I applied the last ingredient and finally, it was ready. I slipped some of the potion into a crystal phial and handed it to Severus. He checked the potion and seeing as it was affective, I received full marks. I looked at Harry and he seemed to be having some trouble, so Snape told me to assist him and I obliged. I came to his station and noticed that everything was right but he was crushing the snake fangs wrong.

"Here, let me help." I said grabbing the pestle and crushing it in a circular motion.

"Crushing it in circles makes the potion more potent." I said remembering what I had read in my potions book. I put his hands on the pestle and put my hands on top of his. I gently helped him crush the fangs in small circles.

"Thank you" He said after they were crushed.

"No problem" I replied as I helped him finish the last of the potion. He put the potion in phial and handed it to Snape. Then, Harry received full marks and the bell went for our next class. I smiled at him and he smiled back after that we proceeded to our next class.

That night, I noticed Hermione wasn't here for dinner. I asked everyone where she was, Neville finally answered my question.

"Parvati Patil said she is in the girls bathroom. She said she had been there for a while, crying." Neville replied. That worried me so I went in after her. When I figured out what stall she was in, I found her in tears.

"What happened Hermione?" I asked.

"Doesn't matter" She said sniffling from tears.

"It matters to me" I replied. She sighed.

"I just, I don't have any friends! I feel so alone" She said.

"Well, I'm your friend right? I'm here for you" I said.

"Really? We're really friends?" She asked. I chuckled.

"Why wouldn't we be?" I asked still chuckling, she chuckled back and gave me a hug.

"Thanks Lucrezia" She said.

"Call me Lu, or Lucy. It doesn't matter" I said. She smiled.

"Thanks Lu" She said.

"Okay, we better go" I said grabbing her hand and pulling her out of the bathroom stall. As we came out, a huge, dumb-looking thing was facing us. A troll. Hermione was about to scream but I covered her mouth with my hand and lead her to the corner of the bathroom.

"Don't scream. You'll scare him and he will try to attack" I said.

"Right. I know that. But what do we do?" She asked.

"I don't know I-" I cut off when Harry and Ron came into the bathroom.

"Are you two okay?" Asked Ron.

"Were fine, just do something!" I said. They attempted to fight off the troll but the troll took hold of Harry by the ankle and was flinging him around.

"What do I do?" Asked Ron.

"Swish and flick!" Said Hermione. Is she talking about charms class today? Where we practised Wingardium Leviosa? My question was answered when Ron cast the charm successfully and levitated the troll's big stick thing. He dropped the stick on top of the troll's head and knocked it out. I sighed with relief when the troll passed out.

"Well done Ron!" I said panting.

"Thanks" He said. Just then, a bunch of teachers came in.

"Oh my! E-explain yourselves both of you!" Said Professor Mcgonagall to Ron and Harry. They were just stuttering words when Hermione cut in.

"It's my fault. I went looking for the troll. I thought because I had read about them so much that I could handle it. But I was wrong, if Harry and Ron hadn't come and found me, both me and Lucrezia would probably be dead." Said Hermione. Did she just take the blame?

"And what is your envolvement in this Ms. Dumbledore?" Mcgonagall asked me.

"I was wondering what Hermione was doing, I didn't think she could do it herself so I came along with her" I said sticking to our story.

"Well, that is extremely foolish of you girls. I expect more from clever girls like yourselves. Ten points will be taken from each of you. As for you boys I certainly hope you know how lucky you are. Not many first year students could take on a fully grown mountain troll and live to tell the tale. Ten points, will be awarded to each of you boys. For sheer dumb-luck" She said and left with everyone else.

We left to and went into the common room to talk.

"Who do you think let the troll out?" I asked.

"Snape" Said Harry bluntly.

"What?" I asked.

"Snape let the troll in as a diversion. So he could try and get to the Philosopher's stone but he got himself bitten by that three-headed dog so he couldn't get to it" Harry replied.

"Three-headed dog? Philosopher's stone? What are you talking about?" I asked. They explained to me about what they had found out.

"You want to find it?" I asked.

"Yes, if You-Know-Who get hold of it we are as good as dead" Harry replied.

"Do you know how to get the stone?" I asked.

"The three-headed dog is guarding it. How we get it I still have to figure out" He said.

"Well, we'll figure it out in the morning. I will help you" I said as Hermione and I got up and made our way to our dormitories.

"Do you think, You-Know-Who will get to the stone?" Asked Hermione.

"Not if I can help it." I said going to sleep.
