2- “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”

Walking in the door to my parents place the next day, I was suddenly overcome with nerves. How would Mum react? Dad?

"Mum? Dad? Anyone home?" I called, grateful for Jake holding my hand.

"In the kitchen!" Mum called out the same time Dad yelled, "Study, Sweetie!" Dad was always one to call me pet names, I did't mind it, most of the time, anyway.

"Can I talk to you guys? In the lounge?"

Mum came out of the kitchen looking confused while wiping her hands with a tea towel before settling it on her shoulder. Dad came out of his office, smiling slight.

"What's wrong, Sweetheart?" Mum asked, eying Jake's and my hands that were intertwined.

"Nothing to drastic. Just that I'm moving out." I smiled, nervously as Mum and Dad froze at the same time.

"You moving in with Jake?" Dad asked.

Jake shook his head. "No, shes moving in with Emily and Sam."

"I always have liked Emily. Sam's good for her. It's alright with me." Dad said cheerfully, probably glad that there would be no more fights between Mum and I anymore.

"No! It's not alright! Jacob's just going to be there every night, and the next time we will hear from her is her telling us that we are grand parents!" Mum suddenly exploded.

"Mum! Jake and I haven't had sex yet!" I lied. We actually had, loads of times, when I slept over Emily's or said I was sleeping at Em's but I was really sleeping at Jake's. Just never here.

Jake pressed his lips together to keep from smiling and giving away my lie.

"It's true, Mr and Mrs Harris. We haven't taken that step yet." Jake continued, playing along with my lie.

"It will still happen! I'm NOT letting MY daughter  become pregnant at 18! No!" She yelled, her face starting to become red. Dad was smirking, as if he knew we were lying. He probably did, he was always able to read me like a book.

"Relax, Anne. It's Emily and Sam shes moving in with, they won't let anything happen." Dad soothed, winking at us. Dad was the one that wasn't overwhelming. He was actually nice to me.

"I still don't like the idea." Mother humped, before nodding and returning to the kitchen, mumbling stuff under her breath, not knowing Jake could hear her. He chuckled, before turning to my father.

"We are just going to collect her stuff, then we are going to go. Em and Sam are decorating her room there."

Dad nodded, smiling, and gave me a hug. He whispered in my ear before pulling away, "You and Jake have 'taken the next step', haven't you?"

He and Jake laughed as I blushed as an answer.

"Come on, Steph, don't want to keep Sam and Em waiting, now do we?" Jake suggested, using his grip on my hand to pull me up the stairs, closing my door behind us. He pushed me gently against the wall as he put his hands on either side of my head, looking into my eyes.

"You just used Sam and Em as an excuse to get me up here, didn't you?"  I smiled as he pursed his lips, putting on a 'thinking face', before smiling cheekily and nodding. I slid my hands behind his neck, pulling his lips to mine. His hands went straight to my waist and pulled me closer. I moaned as his lips trailed down my throat, to my sweet spot, which he went straight to, no detour.

I pulled away before things got to heated and ducked out from under his arms, getting my suitcase from under my bed. I went to my dresser, pulling out tops and pants, putting them in my suitcase, before turning around to Jake. He was holding a T-shirt out to me, "Try it on? I want to see it on you."

It was a top that I had bourght a few days ago, on a shopping trip with Emily and Alexis. I had tried it on, and it had fit perfectly. It was a green tank top.

I pulled off my top, being that Jake had seen me topless many times before, and grabbed it out of his hand, pulling it on. Only to find it didn't fit at all. I frowned, as I pulled it off, and pulled out another shirt from my suitcase. Only to have the same result.

Jake was frowning at me, "Try your jeans."

I pulled off my skinny jeans, that were a little tighter than normal, and pulled another boot leg pair on. They didn't fit, and I had bouhgt them at the same time as my tank top.

"Why are they not fitting all of a sudden?" I asked him, pulling another outfit on, that was apparently to small.

"Growth spurt? You are a bit taller." He suggested, pulling me into a hug. H suddenly stepped out of it, just as quickly as he pulled me in.

I pouted, then frowned at his shocked face, " What's wrong?"

"Your the same temperature as me." He whispered, with an air of someone that didn't believe his own words.
