*BEEP*BEEP*BEEP* I turned in Louis' arms to look at the clock. '6:00a.m.' it read. I exhaled through my nose and slammed my head back into my pillow. Louis stirred a little in his sleep so I decided to turn the obnoxious noise off so it wouldn't disturb my sleeping boyfriend. "Ni?" he asked, groggily. "Shhh- go back to sleep, babe. I'll get you up in a few." I whispered, pecking his forehead. "I don't f-feel good, N-Ni." he stuttered. I raised my hand to his forehead and quickly pulled it away. "Oh, Louis. You're burning up. Stay here while I go get the thermometer." I said, walking towards the bathroom. He weekly nodded at me as he snuggled into the blankets, shivering. My poor, LouLou. He hated being sick. He didn't like the feeling of being cooped up in bed all day. It just wasn't normal for him to stay in he same position for more than a minute. I grabbed the thermometer and dampened a wash cloth before heading back to our bedroom. I made my way over to his side of the bed and placed the cloth on his head which made him flinch. "It's okay, Lou, it's just me. Now, can you open your mouth for me?" I asked. "Will it h-hurt my throat?" he asked, sounding like a 5 year-old. "No, baby, I promise." He slowly opened his mouth and I slipped the small device under his tongue. I waited for a few seconds before the *beep* went off. "Oh my gosh! You're running a 101.3 degree fever, babe!" I said, loudly, making Louis wince in pain. "Sorry, Lou. Why don't you tell me what hurts?" "Everything. It hurts to move my a-arms and legs, my h-head feels dizzy, and it hurts to talk, Ni." he said, starting to cry. I pulled him into a 'Horan Hug'. "Aww, it's okay, baby. I'm here. I'll take care of you and you'll feel better in no time." "P-Promise?" he asked, wiping his eyes. "I promise." I said kissing the tears running down his cheek. "I'll be right back, okay?" "Okay." he said, weekly. I pulled away from our embrace and headed downstairs to the kitchen. I reached up to the highest cabinet where we kept our medicine and grabbed the tylenol. I groaned when I read the label. It was liquid which meant Louis was going to put up a fight. I grabbed the small little plastic cup and went back up into the bedroom. I straddled on top of Louis and held his arms down with my feet. "Niall, what are you doing?" "I have to give you your medicine, Lou." I said filling the cup with the thick red goop. "Open your mouth, babe." "No!" he
shouted, struggling to move his arms, but he wasn't the strongest person at the moment. "Louis, if you want to get better you have to take your medicine." "But it's gross and makes my tummy hurt." he said, pouting. "I'll give you a kiss if you take the medicine." "Well... Okay." he said, in defeat. I lifted the cup to his lips which hesitantly opened. I poured the medicine into his mouth, but his face was scrunched up. "Swallow it, Louis." He shook his head. "Louis..." I glared at him and he frowned at me. I then grabbed his face and kissed him passionately. I felt his cheeks encave which meant he took his medicine. "Thanks, Boo." I told him, pecking his nose. "Come lay with me, Niall." he said, yanking my arm. I pulled the covers up and positioned myself next to him. He snuggled close to my chest and wrapped his arms around my waist. "I love you, Niall. Thanks for taking care of me." "I love you too, Louis. I'd do anything for you." I said kissing his forehead as he drifted off to a deep sleep.
