Sasuke stood in the rain, drenched, looking up at Mei.
For what seemed like forever, she just stared at him from the warmth of her room.
Then, finally, she spoke.
"I'm sorry, Uchiha. I can't."
He blinked for a moment, not quite understanding what she meant.
"You can't... teach me?"
"I can't even look at you, right now, Uchiha. What you did- what you said, was really hurtful."
"And," she continued, "I'm not quite ready to forgive you."
"You can't expect me to just forget everything that happened this afternoon," her voice held a bit of irritation in it.
Somewhere in the house, a light went on.
Sasuke was beginning to get desperate. He didn't know why, but he didn't want Mei to close the window on him. Even if she didn't completely forgive him for being a total ass, he would have at least appreciate it if she talked to him.
But the way she was acting right now showed no sign of her ever doing that again.
"Sasuke, I can't."
She closed the window on him.
And the rain poured on.
I don't know why I'm in an updating mood these days. Keep your comments and whatnots coming. If you have any suggestions, feel free to say. I will CONSIDER them.
