I’m not sure. Maybe I just really want to be related to you, Dom.” He winked.
“Pretty boy has done it again.” Roman smirked when we got out and Brian put his arm around my waist.
“Done what?” Tej asked. Then he looked up. “Oh, that.” He smirked.
“Dinner!” Letty called. She was carrying a plate with a few dozen frozen hotdogs. Suki followed with a massive bag of marshmallows and campfire sticks.
“I think that because of his little stunt, Dom should say grace.” I said, smug. Everyone mumbled in agreement.
Dom stood up, holding his beer bottle. Everyone picked up theirs.
“To the birthday girl. I’ve known her since she was five, and now she’s grown into this beautiful, amazing woman. Happy 29th baby girl.”
I felt the heat rise to my cheeks.
“Beautiful is right.” Brian mumbled, kissing my neck.
Suki cuddled Tej, and Letty curled into Dom. “Well, damn.” Roman frowned.
“Pick one up at the next race.” I teased.
“Maybe I will.” He laughed.
“Just make sure she aint a cop.” Dom grinned. “We’ve got enough of those.”
“Come on Dom, one’s not so bad.” Brian smirked.
“But two is.” Dom laughed. “Aight, bedtime. Come on, lights out, let’s go.”
