Why did she need to be all over him for? Didn't she know that I still loved her? I was kinda shocked to see my precious, innocent little Jaymi dancing like that but I mean who wouldn't? I couldn't stand there and watch that sober so I had a few shots, letting the alcohol sink into my system. A half hour into the party and Scooter came over to me.
"Yo, Justin. It's time to get ready. You're on in fifteen. Go get Jaymi." I nodded and walked over to her and Chaz, my blood boiling. Grabbing her arm, I told her that we needed to go get ready. She just nodded and followed but I could tell that she was angry with me. I'd been drinking and she never liked me when I drank.
~Flashback~Ryan decided that the best way to celebrate his birthday was to throw a party. His parents had gone to their lake house for the weekend and we'd have the house to ourselves. That meant that me and Jaymi could have some alone time. It was the day of the party and we were setting up, making sure everything was in the right place. We had all the booze in the kitchen and we had created a little dance floor by moving all of the furniture in the living room to the permitter of the room. We also got the laptops ready with speakers for our music. About an hour before the party was suppose to official start, Jaymi came home with her best friend Regina. I'd never really gotten along with Regina because she thought I was just playing her best friend, but for Jaymi's sake, we pretended to get along in her presence. Anyways, when they came in, I noticed that they had some bags from the mall.
"What'd you guys get," I asked, pulling my girl in for a hug. Regina gagged silently as I shot her glare so Jaymi wouldn't see.
"Some clothes for the party. I can't wait for you to see them babe." She giggled and ran up the stairs with Regina in tow, laughing at some inside joke. I just shook my head and headed over to my boys, who were pouring three shots out.
"Party till the break of dawn!" We downed our shots and put the music on as people started to show up.
~An hour later~
The party's been in full swing for about an hour and Jaymi and Regina haven't come down yet. I wonder what's taking them. I opened another beer and started to drink it, looking around the room. Ryan was having a blast, his hands on some blondes ass as she gave him a birthday lap dance. He looked stoned out of his mind but that was expected of the birthday boy. I found Chaz too, grinding with some girl in the corner. I think her name is Sherry, I'm not sure. And as I turned, I saw my beautiful baby girl coming down the stairs with her friend behind her. They were matching in a small way, the only difference, they color of their shorts. Jaymi saw me and smiled, running over to hug me.
"Justin!" She placed her soft, plump lips on mine and I could feel my emotions taking over me. Regina had wondered off somewhere, probably to Ryan since we all knew she had a crush on him. But I could care less. Jaymi was my main thought right now.
~Four hours into the party~
Jaymi was mad at me and I don't know why. I mean, it could be because I'm a little drunk? Actually, scratch that. I'm a lot drunk. I think she saw me hitting on some girl, but I don't remember. Vodka had consumed my body. I stumbled outside to fine my girl sitting with her face in her hands. Small sobs wracked her body.
"Jaymi," I managed to get out. She looked up and glared at me.
"Please don't be mad at me. I'm sorry. I've been drinking just a little too much and I'm sorry for whatever I did." Jaymi was never the type to stay mad at somebody for too long so I knew she would forgive me. She sighed.
"Justin, just promise me you won't drink anymore. I hate seeing you like this, stumbling and forgetting things." I nodded and she got up, kissing me again, making sure to seal the promise with the touching of our lips.
I mean, I totally get that Jaymi didn't like when I got drunk but this is my life and I will live it how I want. I don't care what her or anybody else has to say about my life. Justin, who are you kidding? You always want to please her. I shook my head and pulled Jaym backstage and handed her off to the stylists. They pulled her into a room and I just walked into my dressing room and threw on this. The theme of this performance was I was the rugged back street guy and Jaymi was the loving upper class girl. We fall in love and then we sing our song. Whatever. I put on some cologne and deodorant on and walked out to see Jaymi getting her hair done. Her dress looked beautiful with her heels and her makeup was done and amazing. I looked her over and saw a small heart shaped tattoo on her foot. Cute, I didn't know she got a tattoo. Finally, Beth was done with Jaymi's hair. She stood up and glanced at me, blushing when she saw me staring.
"We should go out now Justin. You know the music right?"
"Um, yeah." I took her hand and walked to the side stage, waiting for us to go on. Jaymi would go first then I would follow with my part. Scooter was announcing us now.
"And now, I would love to introduce two of my favorite acts of this year, Justin Bieber and up-and-coming artist Jaymi Butler. THe music started and Jaymi walked out, looking perfect and like a natural.
(This is the song… www.youtube.com/watch?v=b87dBaL4q...)
I'd like to say we gave it a try
I'd like to blame it all on life
Maybe we just weren't right, but that's a lie, that's a lie
And we can deny it as much as we want
But in time our feelings will show
'Cause sooner or later
We'll wonder why we gave up
The truth is everyone knows
Almost, almost is never enough
So close to being in love
If I would have known that you wanted me
The way I wanted you
Then maybe we wouldn't be two worlds apart
But right here in each other's arms
And we almost, we almost knew what love was
But almost is never enough
I came out and sang by part and soon we were finished and I was holding (I wasn't kissing her though) Jaymi in my arms, looking down into her amazing eyes. She was breathing hard and hoping for this to be over, I could see the worry in her eyes. I looked up and saw Melody and Chaz standing there, glaring at us. I quickly let go of Jaymi and we both scurried off the stage. We met Chaz and Melody backstage where they looked like they wanted to kill us.
"Really Justin? You couldn't have looked more in love with this whore," Melody said, motioning to Jaymi. She just looked down.
"She's not a whore Melody! How could you say that?"
"Easy Justin, just like this. She's. A. Whore." I snapped and me and Melody got into a screaming match.
"Just stop!" We stopped yelling and looked at Jaymi. "Chaz, what do you have to say about all this? You've been very quite." Chaz looked up, sorrow in his eyes.
"I just wanted you to look at me the way you look at Justin, Jaymi. But, you're too in love with him to realize that I would do anything for you. I'm going back to Canada on the next flight out. It was nice to see you and Justin but I can't be here anymore." He slowly crossed the room and kissed Jaymi on the cheek lightly before walking away. Jaymi fell apart right on the spot and I could only think of one time that she fell apart like this- the day I broke up with her. I rushed over to her and cuddled her, rocking her. Melody just shook her head and left, probably not even caring about me or Jaymi.
"Jaymi, I know you loved him."
"Justin, you don't get it do you! I don't love him! I love you."
